FCRC offers a 4 week Learn to Row (LTR) program for adult rowers (19+). The LTR program is run on Sunday mornings from 10am - 11:30am and cost $80. The program teaches the basics of sculling technique, boatmanship and river etiquette. LTR programs commence on the first Sunday of every second month. Development Squad

Following completion of the LTR program, rowers who choose to take up membership of the club are invited to join the development squad. This squad trains on Sunday mornings from 8:00am - 9:30am and also Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00pm - 7:30pm. The development squad builds on the basics taught during LTR and prepares rowers for integration into either the Senior or Masters competition squads.

Junior Women/Men

The Junior squad caters for rowers from age 13 up to Under 19. All Junior athletes are coached by the FCRC coaching team with a primarily sculling focus with some sweep rowing when appropriate. Junior Rowers are prepared for local and State Competition to represent FCRC and if possible, their school at the Head of the Schoolgirls Regatta. High performing Under 17 and Under 19 rowers may be selected to compete at the Australian National Championship Regatta held at the Sydney Olympic Regatta Centre in Penrith NSW. Outstanding Junior rowers will be supported to nominate and attend to Australian Junior Team Selection Trials held in April each year.

Senior Womens/Men

The FCRC Senior squad physically, technically and mentally develops rowers to compete in a variety of boat classes during the Age & Grade racing season. With a target of competing at the State Championship Regatta, FCRC seniors build training intensity from November through to February. Selected rowers will also be supported to compete at the Australian Rowing Championships in March. Some of our Senior rowers are also Masters competitors.

Masters Women/Men

FCRC has a thriving Masters Rowing squad with a growing representation at local, State and Masters National competition. Masters competition is available to rowers over the age of 27 and due to the non-impact nature of the sport, rowers continue to compete well into their 70's and 80's. While Some Masters also compete in the Grade season, the main Masters competitions run from April - June each year.
